I know they were at Azkatraz promoting for Infinitus so can we expect a formal appearance slot for them? I can't begin to explain what seeing them in person and having a formal performance would mean to me and many others.

Yes - they will performing the musical at Infinitus. They will also do a panel and Q&A session. We're very excited to have them at Infinitus. They are amazing performers and even greater guys.

Oh my goodness, YES!!! I'm watching A Very Potter Musical right now and I just had a huge spazz attack when I read that they're going to be at Infinitus!!!
IT'S GOING TO BE TOTALLY AWESOME!!!

OMG AWESOME!!! i LOVE StarKidPotter and AVPM! is it gonna be, like, the whole cast, or just the StarKid boys singing all the songs? full cast would be WICKED!

I think that just made my day. I'm so excited!

07-28-2009, 07:29 AM
The real questions is, will this event be accessable to everyone or is it limited to a certain amount of people?
Oh, and will it cost extra?
puckrox
07-28-2009, 07:55 AM
I really hope it's going to be open to everyone and not limited access. And, as much as I'd love to see the boys there singing the songs (they're so adorkable), I'm really hoping the whole cast will be there. I don't care if they perform the entire show or just stand and sing all of the songs, either way it'd be way awesome.
jennclack
07-28-2009, 02:31 PM
It will be available to all attendees at no extra cost. At this point, we are going to try to have a full cast performance. We'll keep everyone updated on the details as we get closer to Infinitus.

Yeah they told me this at Azkatraz, and that's when I decided I would definitely be attending Infinitus. To see the musical live would be really incredible, but it would mean being able to get everyone together from all over the country, you know? So lets keep our fingers crossed! :)

No. Way. Get out!! They're performing at Infinitus?!?!?! Now there's absolutely no way I'm NOT going. I just finished watching the whole musical and omg, it was amazing! I can't wait to see it live!
strawberryuniverse
08-26-2009, 11:19 PM
starkid stays that they are only maybe performing the show, and the way they said it made it seem (at least in my opinion), that it was more likely that they wouldn't be performing it!
TheSilverDoe
08-26-2009, 11:27 PM
Really, where did you hear that?
strawberryuniverse
08-26-2009, 11:44 PM
on their youtube channel. they just posted a FAQ video that addresses if it will ever be performed again
TheSilverDoe
08-27-2009, 12:28 AM
That would be very disappointing :(

Having the ENTIRE musical performed at Infinitus would be Totally Awesome!!! It would be unforgettable and so BOSS.
However, even if it's unable to happen-- the guys from StarKidPotter WILL be there answering questions. And if the guys are there, you can bet there will be at least a jam session or two with Darren Criss playing his guitar. Still worth it.
And even if the StarKid guys couldn't go at all-- I KNOW all of us AVPM fans would have numerous moments where we break out into the songs, and everyone joins in. *sigh* Just the thought of that, alone, is enough to get me excited!!!!

If it turns out that they don't end up performing the musical again at Infinitus (I hate to even think such a terrible thing!), can we possibly arrange a viewing of it on a large screen? I've got the whole thing in one file (and I'm sure many other people do, as well), so all we need is a projector and a big white board/wall/cloth-to-hang-on-a-wall.
VBDevil
08-27-2009, 07:59 PM
Yeah, I'd be in for watching it on a big screen if they don't preform!
strawberryuniverse
08-28-2009, 03:27 AM
omg that sounds like fun. maybe not quite as fun as a live performance, but still!
and you're totally right about them just being there. just that part makes this trip sooooo worth it!
Snitchy
08-28-2009, 04:01 PM
Oh they'll do it... They can take a break from it until infinitus and by then they'll be begging to perform it! Mwah ha ha!!! *ahem* I just really want to see it... :D
KatetheKeeper

They HAVE to perform it! If they don't......they need to AT LEAST play it on a projector!

Ahhh I REALLY hope they will perform it there!
I also totally agree with RoseWeasley that if they don't, it has to be played on a projector!
I think that it would be great for them to perform it there because they'll never perform it for an audience who would appreciate it more, who enjoys it more, or who loves them all more!

Ok more power to you guys on this whole starkid potter thing but to be honest i tried to watch their AVPM and to be quite honest(i know I will catch hell for this so I apologize in advance) I don't get it...I don't see what all the fuss is about. When Wrock first came on the scene I felt the same way until I heard Ministry of Magic and now I go to every Wrock show I can manage to get to. I thought it would be the same way with Starkid but I watched it and was literally like: wtf....sorry guys/girls I know most of you sweat them and I am sure they are great and talented bunch of guys but I just don't get all the hype.

how far did you get?
Because if you didn't get to the scene after the opening number where draco (assisted by crabbe and goyle) talk to the trio, then you shouldn't judge.
and i don't think this is comparable with wrock at all.
i am not a big wrock fan, really, but i absolutely love hp parodies.

Unfortunately i got through most of it actually and I still don't see the point..like I said I am sure they are talented in their own way I just don't see it..even from a non-objective stand point I just don't care for their work just as you don't particularly care for Wrock. Its just a matter of opinion is all.

I guess it's just not for everyone. We're all entitled to our own opinion, and if you don't like it, then we shouldn't judge you because of it. I mean, I don't like Twilight, but loads of other people do. It's the same scenario.

For me the musical was not about how well it was put together (which it was put together quite well in my opinion) but that it was made out of pure love for the series that everyone on this board understands.

I have to admit, I'm psyched about it. I didn't enjoy the last half of the musical very much the first time I watched it, but It was past three AM and I was tired : D I thought it was pretty great the second time around, though.
