I believe by looking at the most recent newsletter that we as attendees should be discussing the plans for the T-shirts to be offered at Infinitus. I thought I'd start us off as I am very anxious to get a look at designs so I can decide if I am interested in purchasing one ahead of time through the Registration page. So share your ideas, I will update this post with a master list of some ideas that everyone seems to enjoy. Be creative and detailed about what you'd like, let's give our wonderful organizers some time to prepare for the symposium while we simply brainstorm.

I was thinking in the bottom corner, there are the glasses and scar with a thought bubble going up, that says all the info/logo in it.
Either that or an owl reading a book, with the thought bubble going to the side. I tried both on photoshop but I can't decide which is better. Haven't finished either one.

I don't draw worth a knut. I can picture things though. I think on the back of the shirt it should have something from the website (Friendships forged, etc) Then add since we don't know about any more events The End of an Era? Also on the top of the back the logo for Infinitus.

On the front I think there should be a huge lightning bolt and behind it a view of WWoHP

What thinks you?

I was thinking a pic of either Hogwarts or of a quidditch pitch with Hedwig or Harry flying by and the info on the bottom.

I'm working on something that has to do with the shipping that goes on in fandom..

I have a rough drawing sitting in my sketch book, and I'm planning on working with it in photoshop later.

"Why should cannon be the only option?"

"Imagine the possibilities"

AHHHH That is great!
I'd buy a shirt that said that.

I wouldn't really want that shirt, since I'm not a big fan of the fandom... I mean I still love canon more than anything else.

Thanks heatherklus ^.^

Between those two lines of text are two cloaked silhouettes, nearly kissing, illuminated from behind by a lumos spell. They are somewhat androgynous because of the lighting and cloaks.... These two people could be anyone:
Ron and Hermione, Harry and Draco, Pansy and Ginny, whoever. It's kind of left up to the wearer's interpretation. It's not as though we're discounting canon, but allowing everything along with it.

Nuttynicole, what's your favorite canon couple? Who would be on this shirt for you?

Nuttynicole

Either Harry and Ginny, or Ron and Hermione. Harry/Ginny is my favorite though, because they just go together so perfectly.

The only non-canon couples I somewhat like are Neville/Luna and maybe McGonagall/Dumbledore (well before I found out about Dumbledore's sexual preference, lol.)

parings??? not the kind of shirt I would go for...the tee I think should reflect what the convention is...not any pairing.

As said before, does anyone think it should reflect the possiblity that this may be the last HPEF con?

Read her description. It has nothing to do with a particular pairing.

I did read the full description. It could be any pairing the wearer prefers. What about those of us who don't want any pairings on the shirts? Not a shirt I personally would be intrested in or buy.

What about symbols from the books and movies? ...ie the wands, glasses, lightning bolts, brooms that type of stuff.

I'd go for that before anything depicting any type of pairings. Just my two knuts...however, I'm sure when the time comes there will be voting for all the possibilities. Let the majority speak :)

You have to have a generic design so it doesnt look like Harry or from the films

for the first T-shirt

Nimbus-2003

four blocks of a wolf rat dog stag

very generic design so it doesnt reference the book

then in a the back

"I Solemnly Swear That I am up to no Good"

then

paw prints of them all

the added touch I did was a house badge on my shouldner

I have that one... a friend sent it to me because I couldn't be there.. I loved that shirt. That's why I 'd be more inclined to a shirt with symbols more than silouettes. :) just two knuts...when does the voting begin for it anyway?

I don't necessarily dislike pairings but from the male perspective I think this is too small of a range for a shirt for all attendees to wear. There will be attendees from all over the world and from difference ages and perspectives on the books.

I think simply we should follow what this symposium is about: the intellectual discussion of the series and experiencing it like never before; at Hogwarts

My idea would be to maybe have a generic image of an open book and a silhouette of the castle in the backgrounds and a winding road leading off the page and on the bottom "Infinitus 2010, we imagined the infinite possibilities

why would this be the last con?

why would this be the last con?

She means that there isn't another one scheduled, and they are normally scheduled way in advance so there is a possibility this is the last hpef con.

However, that's why I don't think the shirt should reflect the possibility this might be the last one... because there is a chance there will be another one.

That's the beauty of having something like "the end ? " Somewhere on the shirt...mistery...hell it saved one of my childhood favorite shows 10 yrs. ago.

They kept going...(Now unfortunately they still are going and have lost the integrity it once had as a show....) Sorry don't want to hit my old stomppes in the wrong place.

However, whichever the shirt turns out to be it will be fun. I'd submit but like I said before I can't really draw very well...and abstract is one thing unrecognizable is something else...lol.

[FONT="Comic Sans MS"][/FOI want there to be t-shirts in women's size/styles. I really hate the "unisex" t-shirts: they are made to fit men, very wide in the shoulders and narrow in the hips (well, that's the opposite of the way I am built!). I know that Cafe Press put out some women's t-shirts for Azkatraz, but I did not buy one (expensive). At the "other" Harry Potter con in 2008 (Terminus, in Chicago), there were some really nice women's t-shirts. I bought one, and that is the Harry Potter t-shirt I wear most often, because it looks good and fits.NT] I also like collecting the book bags, pins, magnets, etc. I am not an artist or designer, however, so for me it is also hard to visualize what they should look like. The Azkatraz t-shirts available on CafePress are not the official t-shirts. The official Azkatraz t-shirts were available for pre-order through the registration system for $12 or you could have bought them during the conference for $16. We had both standard fit and ladies fit t-shirts with sizes small to 3X. I believe that we completely sold out of ladies fit t-shirts during Azkatraz. Since the ladies fit t-shirts were so popular at Azkatraz, I am quite sure that the organizers are going to try their hardest to also have them at Infinitus. (We also had pins, totes, doorhangers, and shot glasses for sale at Azkatraz.)

Thanks. I did buy quite a lot of souvenirs at Azkatraz. By the time I looked for t-shirts, there were no women's sizes available there. And I am not stupid; I know that the items offered on the Cafe Press site were not "official."

fluerdeparis, your comment is extremely rude. If you know that the shirts at Cafe Press shirts are not the official shirts, then why are you complaining about them in thread that is about the official shirts for a different con? Also, how is someone supposed know that you knew about the official shirts when you are complaining about different shirts? They had women's shirts at the previous con. You decided not buy the women's shirt from Cafe Press or pre-order the official ones and then waited until it was to late to buy one at the con so I don't understand why you have such a nasty attitude to someone that is trying to help.

i hope that what ever design that they come up with is good. i ordered one when i registered, but it didn't ask about size or anything.
