*Personality: Outgoing in my comfort zones, motherly, patient, trustworthy, kind. In character memes, I get pegged as Helga and Cedric a lot. :P
*Education/Work: BFA in Graphic Design, and that's what I do!
*Favourite HP book: PoA
*Favourite HP character(s): I don't really care for fic, so not much fanon view there. I love George Weasley, Neville, and Luna.
*Favourite HP line: I could no sooner choose a favorite star in the sky!
*Watching/Avoiding the HP movies?: I watch them. I'm not keen on the way they did a lot of things, but they're entertaining. I LOVE Wizard People, Dear Reader. It helps me take the movies a lot less seriously. :)
*How about HP merchandise?: I don't really like a lot of the Warner Brothers' stuff. I got one of their scarves and shipped it right back because it was scratchy, felt gross, and the colors were awful in person. I got a handmade one online that I like much more. The fandom is so full of so many amazing and talented artists and craftspersons, and I love buying their better-made merchandise instead. :)

*Favourite fandom websites: Hogwarts Elite on Livejournal (I'll have been a member for 3 years in 10 days) is pretty much my favorite place on the internet. The Leaky Cauldron, the Lexicon.
*Favorite non fandom website: LJ in general.
*Philosophy for an easy life?: Bake from scratch, cuddle often, grow your own fruit, support independent artists, and do what you love for a living. It may not be the easiest life, but it will be the most enjoyable.

So yeah! I'm excited about Portus. I'm attending with a few friends from Hogwarts Elite that I have not yet met, and I'm thrilled about it. They all live near Dallas, so I get to stay with them (yay for not having to pay for a hotel). Meeting longtime internet friends AND my first HP convention! Killing two birds with one stone!
