hello :) i'm pretty much the newest newbie ever! i first became intersted in HP by taking my sister to see the movies. i started reading the books 2 years ago, and only recently discovered the fansites and podcasts. i'd love to go to a gathering like Portus...it'll just be tricky rounding up some friends to go with, as not too many of them are into HP (how dare they!) and as i live in ny, traveling to texas alone...scary thought!!! if there's anyone that has gone to a previous gathering like prophecy or one of the others, i'd love to hear about what all they do there. i've read some of the websites, but would love to hear a fan account.
anyway, i'm looking forward to getting to know everyone and making some new HP friends :)
