*Name: Gillian (that's with a soft g, or a [ʤ] for linguists out there!)
*Also known as: Gill (also with the [ʤ]!)
*Age/Gender: 21 and female!
*Birthplace/Livingplace: Born and living in Newfoundland, Canada! Best place in the world, FYI!
*Family Life: 2 brothers, one just moved away, and my parents.
*PersonalityFun, obsessive, sarcastic, talkative at times, happy
*Words (or small phrases) friends have used to describe you: Funny, freakish (non-HP friends about my HP obsession)
*Words (or small phrases) you have used to describe you: Same as the personality, really...
*Anything else you'd like to reveal?: My friend and I just started a Wizard Rock band and we have two songs, and I'm working on a third. Also, I'm a HUUUUGE Ron/Hermione fan! I also recently started a Quidditch League in my city and we've almost got enough players. And, I'm doing a course called Religion and Pop Culture, and we have a big section on Harry Potter!
*Education/Work: Almost done my BA! Graduating in Spring 2008! And I'm a reservist!
*Favourite HP book: Toss up between HBP and DH
*Favourite HP character(s) - Canon and Fanon: Ron!
*Favourite HP line: There are so many, especially from DH! But if I had to pick from the top of my head I would pick three: "Is this the moment?" "OI! There's a war going on here!" and "All's fair in love and war, and this is a bit of both."
*Watching/Avoiding the HP movies? Watching! For me, I try and separate the book from the movie so I enjoy the movie much more. And besides, they give me the opportunity to walk through the mall in costume! :D
*How about HP merchandise? Love it! I can look around my bedroom right now and pick out my scarf, my tie, a calendar, action figure, lunch box (yes, I have a lunch box!) a banner, a poster, etc.
*Current reading: Text books. Ugh.
*Favourite music: Wizard rock! And Great Big Sea, Josh Groban, John Mayer, Coldplay
*Favourite TV: Star Trek, Kim Possible, Corner Gas
*Favourite cinema: Pride and Prejudice (2005), You've Got Mail, A Few Good Men. Those are a few of my favourites anyway.
*Favourite fandom websites: MuggleNet
*Favorite non fandom website: FaceBook, BlueKaffee.com
*Philosophy for an easy life? Don't care about what others think. If you get a funny look because of your awesome HP shirt or something, just smile back because you're obviously the better of the two!

My LiveJournal is at: http://bravosix.livejournal.com/

My other blogs are at: BlueKaffee (http://bluekaffee.com) and, though it's not a blog this (http://isnt-it-obvious.com) is my Ron/Hermione fansite, which I'm trying to get back on its feet again!

Hi Gill! You have a section on Harry Potter in your religion and culture course? That is so cool.

And I know the feeling about "current reading" being textbooks. No time for fun reading. :-(

Lunch Box? Where do they have Lunch boxes?

It really is a shame that the people who are obessed with HP don't have like a giant community, where they could all live in RL *sigh*.

I got mine at Prophecy from the Chapters (or indigo) people in the vendor room so I suppose you could get them through Chapters. I also saw them in a candy store in Halifax called The Freak Lunchbox.

Well, my friend and I just started it and we called ourselves The Expecto Patronums. It's turning out to be a lot of fun! :D

Do you have a MySpace page for your WRB yet?;)

We do! It's here (http://myspace.com/theexpectopatronums) but there's no music or pictures or anything on it yet. We haven't recorded any songs yet (or figured out how to do it yet for that matter!) and I'm still working on my friend's costume so we can get a good picture!

That is so cool that you have a Wrock band. I've long fantasized about starting up my own, but I play no instruments myself, and none of my friends want to risk their dignity to accompany me. It's all good, though, I have just as much fun listening to what other bands come up with. I would definetely give you guys a listen if you have anywhere with music posted.

Oh, and the Quidditch league sounds awesome as well. Good luck finding enough people, it sounds like it would be fun.

Actually, our first song is one that I made up on the guitar, and I just started playing two weeks ago! (This may not be good either...haha) I'll normally play the keyboard though, which I do actually have experience in! I'll have to post again when we actually have music up! :D
