For some reason I thought I had already done this. Apparently not, so I'll go ahead and do it now. Nice to meet you all! Really looking forward to Portus 2008!

*Name: Stephanie

*Also known as: Steph, Nicole (to family members, it's my middle name), "Hey You," and various nicknames from friends

*Age/Gender: 22, female - I'll be 23 come June, however.

*Birthplace/Livingplace: Right now I live in Atlanta, GA but I was born and grew up in Pensacola, FL

*Family Life: Uh... I don't think anyone truely wants to know about that. I live at home with my parents assisting them with the up-keep of my 12 year old brother while I attend school. I also have a 20 year old brother. I don't plan on having children but I've got a one year old toy Pomeranian named Hachi who is the light of my life.

*Personality: Mature, reserved, but still outgoing. : ) I like having fun as much as everyone else, I just try to do it in a mature, orderly manner.

*Words (or small phrases) friends have used to describe you: Funny, loyal, smart caring, sensible, and crafty

*Words (or small phrases) you have used to describe you: Lazy. No, sorry, not a good one. Um, I don't really know? As said before I'm mature, a bit reserved, but I'm fun loving and outgoing once I get to know you.

*Anything else you'd like to reveal?: I have a million and one hobbies including (but not limited to) Costuming, Convention-hopping (and I work at or volunteer at most of them), Horses, History, Studying Languages, Web and graphic design, reading (of course), Harry Potter (duh), Sewing, making other sorts of crafts, Doll collecting, and more. I'm slightly OCD and can't stand for things to be out of order, beware if I'm ever with you and I see something like a crooked photo on the wall.

*Education/Work: I'm a sophomore in college. I run a home based business doing costume commissions and making Clothing based off of Japanese street fashion. I'm also the Costume Events Director at an Anime Convention in Nashville, Tennssee, and an Assistant at Anime Weekend Atlanta here where I live.

*Favourite HP book: Man... that one is tough. I can't really pick one. I kind of see them all as one big book with seven very, very long chapters.

*Favourite HP character(s) - Canon and Fanon: I have a soft spot for most of the characters - except Umbridge (she can go rot in an alley.) But my aaaaabsolute favorite I think would be (in no particular order) Hermione, Neville, Luna, Draco and Severus. I love them all so very, very much.

*Favourite HP line: When he straightened up again, there were six Harry Potters gasping and panting in front of him. Fred and George turned to each other and said together, "Wow -- We're identical!"

*Watching/Avoiding the HP movies? Watching, but not very impressed. I like the actors/actresses, I think they do a fantastic job of capturing the characters personalities. However, It's impossible to fit a 700+ page book into two hours. You loose so much and it takes away. But I'm going to stop now before this turns into an all out soap-box fest.

*How about HP merchandise? I have some of the stuff from the Noble Collection for my room (it's slowly being redone to look like a hogwarts dorm room) and the Tonner 15" dolls done to look like the various characters, but thats about it.

*Current reading: Nothing right at the moment, unless you count text books and fanfiction.

*Favourite music: Everything, but right now my play list consists of Feist, Gavin DeGraw, and The 88s

*Favourite TV: I don't watch much TV, if I do it's HGTV, History Channel, House, or Adult Swim on Cartoon Network. Generally it's only on so I have something to listen to while I work.

*Favourite cinema: Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" by the BBC. I'm a nut for historical films and this one tops all else. Well, Sense and Sensibility is up there too. Alan Rickman in a frock coat? Being romantic? Oh, yes. Yes please. I'll take two.

*Favourite fandom websites: www.mugglenet.com of course.

*Favorite non fandom website: www.spicycream.com , my costume commission website.

*Philosophy for an easy life? Dream, nothing is possible if you don't.

I don't use myspace, and LJ is something I have but rarely post in. If you'd like to say hi or talk with me - my AIM is romanceinthepast and I use yahoo IM at romancedinthepast@yahoo.com : )

That's a really interesting field you work in. I've sort just barely discovered anime (I know...) through the Buffy season 8 comics. Nice to meet you.
