It's the 11th now. Still I don't see a link or anything to the hotel site in order to make reservation. When should this be up?

Hi there,
We do apologize, but we have been informed by the hotel that the Portus room block will not be loaded into their reservation computers until a year before the last day our rates are available. In this case, it will be July 18th.
We will post the link to reserve your room for the Anatole as soon as it becomes available. Thank you for your patience!

How many rooms are going to be avaiable? Can't pay the $700 at this time for the hotel so I was going to wait a bit.

There are over 400 rooms in the Portus room block at this time. You can reserve a room with a credit card number, and you won't be charged until you arrive at the event. Please make sure to see the Anatole's cancellation policy as well.

Alright I am having some problems booking the hotel for Portus.
First, the website isn't listing any Executive Level Guest Rooms and that is the room type I wanted to book. I have been trying since the 19th (yes I put my book down ;) ) but it hasn't shown up once. I called today and was told they weren't offering ANY Executive Level Guest Rooms and yet they are listed on the Portus site.
Second, while trying to book the hotel room I kept being given the regular room rate and was shocked at the price. On the Portus website you say the the room rate for Quad is $155 per night. When I do that on the website I get $205 per night a large difference. Although I would perfer a Executive Level Guest Room I thought I would let you know that someone has the wrong price.

Hi there,
We will contact the Anatole to let them know that our guests are having trouble booking at the correct rate. I'll post once it's fixed.

What about the Executive Level Guest Rooms. That is what I really want.

The Executive Level rooms are now available, but the hotel is still in the process of fixing the room rates to the correct level. We'll get this remedied as soon as possible!

I am trying to book the hotel from July 7th (want to get in some sightseeing before the symposium), but the booking system will not let me. It keeps saying that there are no rooms available at the group rate at that time. Is it not ready for that yet? Thanks.

Hi all,
Thanks for your patience while we work out the kinks in the hotel reservation system. The correct room rate is now appearing, but we are still working on getting the earlier dates in the system. I'll post here once it's working correctly!

Hi folks,
All seems to be fixed now with the reservation system. I just tested it out for a room from July 7 - 16th with 4 adults and it worked correctly. Please let us know if you have any other problems!

Just wondering. They wont charge my card till I arrive?
bekkio

Yes, you just need the card to guarantee your reservation - you can even choose another form of payment when you check-in if you prefer.

Just thought that I'd let people know that if you are booking multiple rooms that you need to do it one at a time. We were doing two rooms and were having an oh so loverly time till I called the help line and was told to do that. That's it.

I also am looking to book a room and wanted the King room. If you just go to the hotel web site it says there are no rooms available. I found the link in the Hotel post and tried through there and it is only coming up with rooms with 2 double beds, not 1 king size. There also is nothing about the executive suites, only the 2 double bed rooms. What should we do??

I could've sworn I've answered my own question now but...
When I try putting in July 10th-July 14th for a reservation its saying no rooms available. I THOUGHT I read somewhere that we have to call the hotel? Is that right? My friend and I wanted to get an idea of how much and all....Thanks!

Hi folks,
The Anatole has told me that the King Bedded Executive rooms are sold out. There are still double-double Executive rooms available, and standard King rooms as well.

It was a standard King room I wanted but it was only showing a double bed room. The standard King must be sold out already also. Is it possible more will be added?

I tried to check my booking but the site says it doesnt exsist. So I try to re-book. Are they really sold out already? If so, any 'nice' hotels within walking distance?
This is insane...

this is confusing the heck out of me. it says the 10th is all booked? do we have to call in our reservations then? and, how long do we get the "portus rate" for. i was thinking of possibly staying another night.

Hi lovehp4e -
I just tested out the website, and I was able to request a double-bedded from for July 10 - 14 and it went through fine. It does appear that the king bedded rooms are out.

Hi!
Thanks, I wonder if I'm doing something wrong then :S
*goes and checks it again*
Yeah I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or what.
I go to the main Hilton site, is that what we're supposed to do? Or is there a link on here?
I'm sorry for being such a pain though =(

Hi lovehp4e,
Here is the link that will take you to the special rate for Portus: http://www.hilton.com/en/hi/groups/personalized/dfwanhh_pts/index.jhtml .
If you click on there, you'll be able to book a room for anytime between July 7 and July 15, 2008 at the Anatole.
Cheers,
Bekki

"]Bekki, I see that the king bed rooms have sold out. Is therre any chance that the hotel might release more of them? There can't have been that many reserved in the first place, since most people booking for our cons are roommates rather than couples.
Thanks for your help!

Hi Laura,
The king rooms are indeed all booked. There will be other events at the hotel the same time we are there, so they're being held for those events.
So unfortunately, only double/double rooms left.

At prophecy we still got to book a double room just less than two months in advance....

Don't worry, there are still plenty of double/double rooms available! Just the king ones are out.

Yeah I think thats what we're going to be doing anyways. do you know if the hotel has adjoining rooms? I know some friends that are going there and instead of sharing one if we could get ones right next to each other would be awesome. But my friend still has to decide which she wants to go too. I say Portus all the way, but Terminus is a lot closer to us. However, if you guys are having a common room and wizard rock stars, I say Dallas all the way haha.

lovehp4e - I would recommend booking both rooms at the same time, with a request for adjoining rooms. You can also call in your reservation to 1-214-748 1200.

Ok, I guess all the executive king rooms are booked, but there are still king rooms in the "atrium building". And of course there are double rooms in both buildings.
