I love chocolate, but I'm really picky about the kind I'll eat.

have you ever tried a Galaxy bar? apparently it made by dove but only available in England and some import stores. The funny thing is when you compare it to the taste of a Dove bar its a completely different flavor. Dove has nothing on a galaxy Bar. I don't know if you have noticed, but chocolate in the US is more waxy than that of outside the US.

I'll have to try the Galaxy bars! I love British chocolate but don't really get ahold of any very often. I usually go for the stuff you can find at Trader Joe's - they have great dark chocolate. :)

Hey your not far from me. Once the weather cools down I could possibly mail you a bar. My local food store has a brittish import section.

THAT IS SOOOOOOOO AWESOME! galaxy bars are excellent, i completely agree with you...have you been to england? that's where im from, unfortunately i had to move for family reasons! i am so glad someone in the US appreciates the brilliant taste of british chocolate (the same is true for tea)

Hi Silversands - Thanks for the kind offer! I could probably just head down to the import store about 5 miles away, and since the heat here shows no sign of stopping, I'd be afraid that any chocolate mail would end up being chocolate soup mail!

Love how this has become the chocolate lovers forum.

Ignore, how ignorant I am about British chocolates, but would you mine telling me what sort of chocolate the galaxy bars have?

Pft. Galaxy has nothing on Cadbury's Dairy Milk. My own personal taste, of course. But Cadbury's is heaven for me.

Both are milk chocolate :)

I stocked up on Dairy Milk while at Prophecy, but sadly, they only lasted 3 day after I returned home. I might actually have to make a trip to the store after all this chocolate talk.

Is Canadian Dairy Milk the same as the UK version though? I once heard it wasn't quite as good. I did try their caramel thing (caramilk? is that what it's called? I can't quite remember) and that wasn't as good as Cadbury's Caramel over here, but I think that might have been more the caramel recipe than the chocolate.

I'm not sure actually, but they were absolutely wonderful! :D

YES! I am not the only person who bought way to much chocolate there. Mine didn't even last the whole trip home (to be fair, I had a flight canceled, and comfort food was needed).
