Universal is taking hotel reservations! Please call the group reservations number, 866-360-7395, and let them know you're with Infinitus. Here are a few things to remember:

Royal Pacific room rate: $210/night
Portofino Bay room rate: $210/night
Hard Rock Hotel room rate: $255/night
There aren't a lot of rooms reserved at the Hard Rock so book early if that's where you want to stay.
The conference area is in the Royal Pacific hotel. Water taxis will be available for attendees staying in the other two hotels.
If you would like to reserve a suite, Infinitus attendees receive a 25% discount.

Let us know if you have any questions. If you have any issues with the reservation representative, please let me know. We look forward to seeing you all there!!

I have a question about the hotel. I am currently on a phone plan that gives cheeper calls if you don't make any interstate or international calls and as such I can't contact the hotel on that number. Is there a website I can register for accomadation for the conference on?

The number is a toll free number so you shouldn't be charged at all. I don't believe our group reservations can be accessed online but I will certainly check on that possibility. Thanks!

Do these water taxis run all night?

I've been searching the Universal site. The part of Universal open latest is CityWalk and it is open until midnight. I would guess that the water taxi would make a final run around then. I've walked the path from Royal Pacific to CityWalk and it's pretty easy. As long as you're in a group, that's an option. Hard Rock Hotel is very close to CityWalk. The Portofino hotel, however, is a bit of a hike from CityWalk. I think the taxi schedule changes quite a bit so you'll probably have to check it earlier in the day and note when they have the last taxi. Thanks for your question!

City walk is actaully onpen until 2am nightly, some of the resturants close at 12 but most are open until 2, as well as the movies play till about 2am. The last Water taxi leave around 2:15am from city walk and stops at all 3 hotels.

Are we going to have days before and after the conference at that hotel price so we can come early and stay later?

Yes - 3 days before and after Infinitus will have the conference rate. Thanks!

One thing that occurred when I called was that the agent didn't immediately know the group until I mentioned Harry Potter. He shows it as "HP Fanon" and then, probably, "Inifni...." and the rest, who knows, is on the second page...but if the agent doesn't immediately recognize the name "Inifinitus" as the group (to get the group rate), just mention Harry Potter.

I have a question. I was looking on the websites for the hotels and I saw that it said they charge extra if you have more than 2 adults in the room. Does this apply for the Infinitus rates as well? If so, do you know how much more it is?

serr_potter

Shouldn't be an extra charge. When I called, I booked for 4 people and it came to $240/night after taxes.

TheSilverDoe
07-21-2009, 10:49 PM
Ah okay, that's with taxes?

And also, what if I'm not sure yet how many people will be in the room? I know I'm definitely going to be with two other people, but we may or may not have a 4th, or even possibly a 5th.

So my friends and I just started looking into booking and they say with more then 2 people in the room the price does go up, to $260 a night.... at least thats what they are telling us..:(

$260 a night with taxes or without? That's insane.

When i reserved a room, i was not asked how many people will be in it and it came to $236 a night. I do have plans to have four people or so in the room and i do not expect the price to go up hopefully.

I called and reserved a room for 4 people and it came to almost $240 per night WITH TAXES. It's $210 and like $28 and change in tax. If you have a 5th person, they say they require you to get a roll-away bed which is like $25/day. They shouldn't ask you how many people are in a room. If you call and make reservations, they'll ask you the dates and your credit card information.

IDK maybe the preson we spoke to was confused becase when we said 4 pople they said it would cost more.. So we made them for 2 and figuered we would just get less Keys.

Well, what we did for Azkatraz, because they had the same issue, was just tell them we had two people, and order a room with two beds, and then just forget to mention we were bringing three other people. As for the fifth, bring a mattress and sleep on the floor. It's not a huge deal. You can rotate if your fifth doesn't want to sleep on the floor the whole event.
Or, you can add two more people when you get there. They shouldn't put on another charge if they know what the event is.

If you call 1-866-360-7395 to get the special $210/night rate, do they still charge your credit card the deposit amount equaivalent to 1 nights stay?

serr_potter

@Sectumsempre522 Yes. It comes out to around $240 & that includes taxes.

Sure, from the first post in this thread (http://www.hpef.net/forums/showthread.php?t=5127):

Now does anyone know if we can get reduced park passes if we stay in one of Universal's hotels?

VoldyinPrada

Is it not like disney? If you stay in the hotel you get entry to the park?

The discounted price for those at Azkatraz (and those there in spirit) will be $165 until at least the third week in August. Then the price will be $180 until the last month of registration (May). The Infinitus park event (when planned) will be included in the basic registration. If you want to spend a day in the park other than that, that will be an extra cost. We're working on getting a discounted ticket price for our attendees and will let everyone know if that's possible. Thanks!

Free admission or discounted tickets to the theme park is not included in stay at one of their hotels, but you do get an Express Pass (it is your hotel room key) according to the Universal website. However, Express Passes and Tickets are available at an additional price (ranging in price from $19.99 to $55.99 + tax per person, per day) for non-hotel guest. You should check out the Universal website for more info.

Miss Freewind, knowing those passes are available for a day is really good to know, thank you for that information!

I just reserved a room and I'm 18, they didn't ask me how old I am or anything. On the e-mail I just received it said that you have to be 21 to check in... if there is a girl in my group whose 21 does that count? What do I do?

If there is at least one 21 yr old in your room, you're fine.
I know some people are saying because this is a con, if you're 18 or older that should be fine too, but I have yet to verify.

I've heard that the Pacific Royal has already been booked up - does anyone know if this is a fact?

Call the hotel and ask. They had rooms in all three hotels when I booked about a week and a half ago, so I really doubt they are full, but I'd call the group line just to check if I were you.

I have heard this rumor flying around for the past few weeks. I know a couple people that recently booked a room at the Royal Pacific. I find it incredibly unlikely that they have sold out of those rooms 10 month before the event. Also, I read two post stating that are not sold out and that there are rooms available at all three hotels. They contacted the hotel at the beginning of this month and I doubt that it has changed that much in less than two weeks. If they were close to selling out at any of the hotels, the organizers would give us ample warning. However, I would not wait until the last minute to try to get a room at the Royal Pacific.

I spoke with the Loews reservations folks not five minutes ago while booking my room. There are still rooms available under the Infinitus block at all three hotels. :)
