Im new to. Im sooo excited about Portus2008, Ive neve been to an hp convention before.

You guys will have a great time! Just don't plan on getting any rest. If you are going and don't know anyone a great way to meet people is to volunteer for a few hours and sign up for some of the activities. MZMaguic your coming in from Scotland??? WOW that's a trip!! At Portus they had a trading session for Hp stuff, it was alot of fun, if you have extra UK versions of any of the books you may want to bring them for trade, I know in Canada alot of us from the UsA bought the Uk versions of the books. Also you should know that Texas in July is really hot. (most of the time we will be inside anyway)

I never thought of taking over UK editions of the book!!! Great idea!!!!! I will be taking over my ipod which has all the UK audio version of the books by Stephen Fry. I do not know how to transfer it onto a laptop if anyone wants a copy and have their laptop with them. Is it really really hot? :eek: Im flying in on the 7th and staying in a cheap hotel so I can get climatised and energised for the event. I feel Ive missed out alot in the fandom because I have only recently found it. When I heard about Portus I decided I HAD to go :D
