Okay, so the number of attendees is limited to 50, on a first come, first served basis; got it. But, are the Snapefest staffers included in that number or not? Meaning, will the nine named individuals be part of that 50, leaving 41 spots, or will it be 50 spots total for non-staffers?

It shouldn't because SnapeFest is on July 9 and the Welcoming Feast for Portus is on July 10.

The number does not include SnapeFest staff. These are 50 spots open to any Portus attendees who register.

We would like people to sign up only if they can attend the entire day; however we obviously can't stop you from getting a spot on the registration list and only showing up for half of the program. Just keep in mind that there is really no way we could give the other half of your registration to someone else so it would essentially be wasted.

You will have to be already registered for Portus before registering for Snapecast. The registration will actually be handled via the same system as the Portus registration.

must we do the full registration or may we just get a day-pass in order to attend SnapeFest? I really want to go for thursday and friday nights, but I don't see a reason for me to go on saturday or sunday night.

As long as you are registered for Portus in some manner (including a day pass), you may register for SnapeFest.

However remember that day passes for Portus are only available for Friday and Saturday programming so Thursday passes aren't an option. Also the day passes won't give you access to the Portus Welcoming Feast or Leaving Feast.

Sure. Everyone is free to start a thread about anything as long as it remotely relates to Snape or SnapeFest. FYI there is already a thread about room sharing on the main board (http://www.hpef.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=8), but if you need one here feel free to put it up as well.

This hasn't been addressed publicly anywhere, but I have received several emails about. Those not registered or those on the Dunderhead Waiting List may register for the dinner because I am assuming that not everyone registered will come to the dinner. However if for some reason a bunch of people register and we have over 80 people, the people attending SnapeFest will be given priority.

I find your instructions to register lacking. They simply are not true. I cannot register to Snapefest. There is no section in the registration that says "session registration"

If you have tried to register recently, SnapeFest is full, but you should be able to put your name on the waiting list. If you log in with your confirmation and click on "Modify" the Session Registration screen will come up and SnapeFest is the first event listed. If you still have trouble email registration@portus2008.org.

Thanks for your patience, I finally ofund it. Just for your info, After I click modify, the first item to register for is "Saturday Water Quidditch" Snapefest is item number fifteen on that page.
