So we know we're doing a SnapeFest, but we don't know many of the details yet. We have a conference room for an entire day at the Hilton right before Portus to spend theorizing, mourning, and generally obsessing about our beloved Potions Master.
The question is: What exactly do we want to do with this time?
The Snapecast staff has been discussing this a bit and we've come up with some fun ideas: Snapey contest (trivia, costume, etc.), Snape videos and art, special discussions. However we want to know what YOU want.
So please discuss. Let us know what you want out of SnapeFest...

Programming? SnapeFest?
I thought that my pathetic job would be over when your bloody show wrapped up on January 9, but now this? Delivering 50 registrations and flying to Dallas in July is not in my contract. I demand a higher salary.

Thanks for the nice off-topic post, Snarky. In any case, you're not getting a raise until you clean this mess up around my computer. There's peanut butter everywhere!
Back to the topic, I'd love to see some sort of fan created video action. Any chance of that?

Snarky is so naughty. *sigh*
Videos are a great idea and I am certianly willing to make one. Would any one else be interested in submitting Snapetastic vids? We could have a top 5 countdown. :p

Snarky, you're complaining, but I've seen you at other symposiums! Enjoying the lectures and presentations, cozying up to Snapefans... I know that you wouldn't miss Snapefest!

I saw SS before I read the book, so I've been Snape obsessed since then. Day and night, night and day...all about snape.

There is an update to the SnapeFest web site which details some themes about the Programming: http://www.snapefest.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=12&Itemid=26.
Basically we're planning to spend the morning focused on Canon!Snape and the afternon on Fanon!Snape.
More details to come...

Snape art exhibit
Cosplay definitely!
Future of fandom discussion
Some form of awards presentation, for art, fic, costuming, podcasting, organizing.
The canon/fanon structure sounds great!
Yay! SnapeFest!

Nay on the Snape charades, but everything else sounds really good, particularly the discussions on the fandom.
Discussion on differences and likes/dislikes of canon Severus vs. fanon Severus. Could probably start the discussion with everyone together and then after a while split into the fanon discussion here and canon discussion there, but not too far apart so people can bounce between the two. Come up with two lists for the two groups to show off to each other later or something.
I'd definitely love to see vids and art - especially have it displayed all around, so we can be surrounded by Snapiness -, and I'm down for talking with fanfic authors --- OH! Maybe a brainstorming session to get the creative juices going! I think it would even be neat to have some of the fanon authors bring copies of their favorite original piece to have it autographed. I've noticed in the Harry Potter series fandom there's a lot of fans having fans, which is great.
Oh, and if there are any really cute Snape cosplayers (or a naturally goodlookin hooked nose around), I wouldn't mind a snogging booth. Mmm...Snoggin' Snape...
And make sure there's lots of boxes of tissues around. I'm betting this one's going to be a particularly emotionally charged fest.
Are you going to be selling Snapefest or Snapecast stuff?

Good question. There will be complimentary schwag bags of some kind, and probably a few prizes for games and such, but perhaps we'll also have some Snapecast items (t-shirts, etc.) available for purchase. Is that something Portus attendees would be interested in?
Of course, our cafepress store is always open:

We would like to sell t-shirts, but because we don't print our own it is always hard to decide how many sizes of each to buy. Maybe we could do preorders or have someone design a special SnapeFest t-shirt?

Oh yes, maye a pre-order would do just fine! Anything I can get w/ Snape on it, I will!

Oooh! And is Chris from the Snapecast staff going to be there? You could probably raise a lot of money if you put a sign up saying like "For 4$, have a snarky Snape-sounding sweet nothing whispered in your ear or recorded on your phone". You would make bank with that promo!

Sadly, Chris won't be able to join us for SnapeFest. At least, not in person. ;)

Round Robins? We were thinking about a special time for Snapey drabbling, drawing, and Round Robins fueled by coffee. :)
