Hello there!
At the time of Portus, I will be 17. However, I will be travelling with a friend that is 19 at the time. Is she old enough to be my chaperone? Also, when and where do we provide parental consent for attendance? I've already registered, and haven't had any kind of request for consent. I was just wondering, and I'm sure I'm not the only under-18 that's registered or registering.
Thanks so much!

Hi there,

Unfortunately your friend is not old enough to serve as chaperone for you. We require chaperones to be at least 21 years of age at the time of the event.

Closer to the event, we will have a form available to you so your parent/guardian can give their permission for you to attend and to appoint a chaperone. It will need to be notarized in your hometown. Please watch the website for information as it should be available no later than June of 2008.

Make sure you have your form notarized, nothing is worse then seeing people turned away because they didn't have the notary seal on the form.
And yes they will turn you away with out it.
