So.. do people cosplay at this?

I am not used to a HP conference and was just wondering if people dressed up? I saw some ones from 2007 that some dressed up and some did not, is this more of a casual dress thing? Or do people dress up as well?

I would like to know my clothes do not go to waste! =) Thanks in advance!

Hi there,

Yes, people do cosplay at HPEF events! People also wear casual clothes, and sometimes they dress a bit more professionally. You can take your pick, or go for all three. :)

As Bekki said, there will indeed be much COSplay at Portus! In fact, you can check out our Prophecy Retrospective (http://youtube.com/watch?v=LQSayd6Y5ss) slideshow here to get a glimpse of some of the fabulous costumes of previous events.

I'm going in a different costume every day. ::laughs:: Right now there Dead!Fred Weasley (My favorite costume!), Tonks (heavily modified Hogwarts Uniform for day, Prom version for the Mystery Ball), Hufflepuff Student, and a Puff Pride outfit (a few Puff friends and I are having a Hufflepuff Pride Day). :)

Did you attend Lumos? We had an awsome Hufflepuff parade- And we will have one at Portos too ! I was Sprout at the Lumos parade and taught Divination at the night classes

^^ All this Hufflepuff love makes me happy and squeeful! I'm not sure if I'll do the costume thing...but I will definatly be showing my hufflepuff pride. I'm SO excited!!!!!!! :D

Nope! This will be my first Convention/Symposium/What have you. :)

Also, Pat, do you know what day that will be? If there's going to be a parade it'd be fun to participate in, but like I said, I've got a different costume for each day, and I'd hate to not wear my Puff Pride outfit on the proper day.
