Default A Question From the Curious

Not really a very important question, but I was just curious. How many people are expected to attend Infinitus? And how many people are expected to attend the NoaTW?

I hear over 2000 attending Infinitus, and 1700 attending NoaTW.

That is a lot of magic! And it's very exciting of course. Does anyone know if this is a larger group attending than at past cons? I certainly don't remember Portus seeming so big, although that's the only other con I've attended. As you can tell, logistics and numbers interest me quite a bit.

It's not 100%, though. I don't work for Infinitus, but I did hear they capped the NoaTW tickets at 1700 and they have sold out.

I had heard that Portus had about 800 attendees and Terminus had 1500. I attended both, and the latter did seem larger, but it is really impossible to judge, as everyone is not in one place at the same time, even for the costume balls. That was an unusual summer, as there were large conferences in both July and August. I have no idea what the attendance was for any other HP conference.
If you really want a comparison, the AARP conferences usually get around 25,000.....and there'll be one in Orlando this coming October.
