Walking from Hotel?
I've been poking around the internet - is it possible to walk from the Royal Pacific Hotel to Islands of Adventure? I saw in another thread that parking at CityWalk was an option for going to the hotel, so I wanted to see if this meant you could walk to/from the park easily.

Yes, it's about a 10 minute walk from the hotel door to IoA along the river path that the boat takes.
Also, the boat ride, which is relaxing and all that, drops passengers off at river level and there's a fairly steep ramp/set of stairs to get up from there. Not terrible, but for those who have a bit of trouble climbing, it may be easier just to walk.

Absolutely! The hotel is on the Universal Property, the water taxi boat is just a quicker trip. But, we walked it a couple of weeks ago to see the hotel before the convention. Yes, City walk is the nerve system and the hotels and theme parks spoke out from there (all on foot).

The water taxi is very convenient but most of the time I walk from the hotel to the parks. It's scenic and pretty.

Awesome! Thanks you guys for the tid-bits.
While the water taxi sounds novel, I live on an island and have to take boats as transportation constantly, I probably will be avoiding them while I'm on the "mainland" xD

I used to live on an island myself. I only lasted 3 years before it got to me. The only way to get there was boat and plane in summer and snowmobile in winter. Ugh! Glad I live in Florida now!

Tina, I was at the Citywalk info booth by the BubbaGump eatery. They said I had to go past original Universal studios to get to the hotel...Can you clarify the pathway please?

Universal is over the bridge. After Jimmy Buffett's , there is a pathway right before the bridge on your lefthand side that leads you on a walk to the Royal Pacifico. As for the other hotels, their pathways are all before the front gates of the theme parks.

Okay. If you're in Citywalk, where you just described to me, you can keep going straight till you reach the lagoon, which is where the water taxis will be. They will take you to all three hotels. If you want to walk, left takes you to Royal Pacific and right takes you to Hard Rock and Portofino. When you get closer to the entrance gates of Universal Studios, you will see a separate area off to the right where there is a table and a security person--this is the walkway to the hotels. Trust me, you can't miss it. It's the only thing to the right.
