Default Hotel Reservation Info Update (Availability at Portofino Bay & Hard Rock)

HPEF is thrilled to announce that Universal Studios Orlando's Portofino Bay hotels have agreed to honor the $210 per room price for up to four people in a room at Infinitus 2010; the $255 price at the Hard Rock Hotel is also valid for up to four people in a room.

As of April 7, the $210 rate at the Royal Pacific Hotel is sold out for most of the days of Infinitus, but it is still available at the Portofino Bay and the $255 rate is available at the Hard Rock Hotel.

To make the deal even sweeter, that price is good from July 11 through July 21 for anyone attending any Infinitus 2010 event, as well as their friends and family. Just call Reservations at 866-360-7395, mention that you're coming for Infinitus, and enjoy the rate. If you've already made a reservation, we recommend calling back whenever you have a chance, to make sure you're going to be charged the $210 rate.

This price only applies to those staying in standard rooms at the Royal Pacific or Portofino Bay; rooms at the Hard Rock Hotel are a little more expensive, but the per-room cost there is also for up to four people in a room. And don't forget that there's a 25% discount on suites at all three hotels, and some suites can hold up to five people.

If you stay at the Royal Pacific, the Portofino Bay or the Hard Rock Hotel, you'll be able to enjoy exclusive benefits that Universal provides only to on-site guests. Each room key-card is also your Express Pass; you’ll skip the regular lines at most rides and attractions. It’s the fastest way to ride – enjoy unparalleled access all day long, as often as you’d like, just by showing your hotel room key card at each express entrance. We expect that the Express Pass will work at the three rides in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Even if you just stay one night at one of the Universal hotels, you'll enjoy your Express Pass on both of the days, as it works from the moment you you check in until the parks close on the day you check out.

Infinitus attendees who stay at one of the on-site hotels can also take the complimentary shuttle to nearby SeaWorld Orlando or Wet n' Wild waterpark and charge purchases made in the Parks and at CityWalk to their rooms; priority seating is also available for hotel guests at certainUniversal Orlando restaurants.

And don't forget, if you stay at any of the Universal Orlando hotels, you'll help Infinitus meet our room block, and our commitment to the hotel.

We are still working to provide a way for you to make your reservation online, so check back at Infinitus2010.org, our Facebook page at tinyurl.com/InfinitusFB, or our LiveJournal at infinitus2010.livejournal.com, or follow our Twitter at twitter.com/HPEF, for more announcements.

My question is if people who are 18 yrs and older can register for Infinitus, why won't the hotel allow people under the age of 21 to book a hotel?

Unfortunately, that is hotel policy and not ours. As long as there is one 21-year-old in the room, anyone over 18 can be added to the reservation, and someone who is under 21 but has a credit card in his or her own name *can* be the person to pay for the room.

The Royal Pacific is now sold out from Thursday through Saturday night during Infinitus, but the low Infinitus rate of $210 plus tax is still available at Portofino Bay, or you could stay at the Hard Rock Hotel for $255 plus tax per night.

Of course, any Infinitus registrants - and their friends and family - who stay at any of Universal Orlando's three on-site hotels, including Portofino Bay or the Hard Rock Hotel, will enjoy early access to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter only at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure starting at eight o'clock in the morning. Hotel guests also can utilize the Express Access pass on rides in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter (may be limited at certain times), as well as most other rides in both Universal Orlando parks.

But we have an extra benefit for the next 75 Infinitus registrants who reserve a room at the Portofino Bay or Hard Rock Hotel - a $5 per night discount on self- or valet-parking (for up to three nights). Plus, you'll be able to use the hotel's shuttle buses for easy access to the conference area at the Royal Pacific Hotel, and you can self-park for free at the Royal Pacific from Thursday through Sunday if you've paid to valet park or self-park at either the Portofino Bay or Hard Rock Hotel.

And for all Infinitus registrants staying at the Portofino or Hard Rock Hotel during the conference, we'll be doing a drawing on Saturday at the Ball and awarding one free night's stay to the winner. We'll have forms at Registration so you can make sure you're entered to win.

So if the person is over 21 and has a credit card in someone elses name, they can pay using that?

Will there be a roommate board near the registration desk for people who are looking to room share at the last minute (after arrival at Infinitus)?
