Here are my answers. Please post with yours.

Name: Rachael
Link to LJ, IJ, or other blog: http://chaeche.livejournal.com/
Location: Rotterdam, The Netherlands (but I am not Dutch)
How you Snape (e.g. fic writing/reading, art, cosplay, etc.): Snapecast, fic reading, and vidding
Conventions you have been to in the past: Lumos, Phoenix Rising, and Sectus
Why you like Snape: I don't just like Snape; I love him. Even though we know his loyalties he is still fascinating...the most complex and interesting character in the Potterverse.
Favorite Canon!Snape Moment: Spinner's End...the whole chapter
Favorite Fanon!Snape Moment: Either the whole concept of bald Snape in Home Fries Nazi or the Snape cosplayers all dancing to "I'm too sexy" at PR
Favorite Snape Ship: Snarry
How DH influenced your Snape-ing: I feel sad for Snape and sometimes I enjoy Fanon!Snape more than Canon!Snape. I find myself occasionally indulging in Emo!Snape Snily fic.
Anything else: I can't wait for SnapeFest. I will be back in the US for two weeks during that month and can't think of anything I would rather be doing. Going to be coming in early so I am not jet lagged.

Rachael

Name: Becca
Link to LJ, IJ, or other blog: http://msavi.livejournal.com/
Location: South Carolina (but I'm originally from upstate NY)
How you Snape (e.g. fic writing/reading, art, cosplay, etc.): Snapecast, fic writing and reading, and a tiny bit of fanart
Conventions you have been to in the past: Phoenix Rising
Why you like Snape: I fell in love with Snape when I read the Flight of the Prince chapter in HBP
Favorite Canon!Snape Moment: the "almost inhuman" look on his face as he fled Hogwarts in HBP
Favorite Fanon!Snape Moment: Even though I believe she was cosplaying Canon!Snape at the time, my favourite Snape moment brought to me by the fandom is when Droxy wrestled Latex!Snape (a.k.a. Rachael) against a wall at Phoenix Rising, HEE!
Favorite Snape Ship: I tend to get too jealous where Snape is concerned to be much of a shipper (heh), but I like Snape/Hermione, Snape/OFC, and various others. The way Snape is written matters more to me than the ship.
How DH influenced your Snape-ing: I didn't like DH very much, and I really didn't like DH!Snape much at all. So if DH did anything to influence my Snape-ing, it was to free me from the shackles of canon, LOL. I'm exaggerating. But I will say that DH had one of the best snarky Snape lines in the whole series; the epitaph line!
Anything else: I'm still trying to get over my childhood tendency to be extremely shy. I'm also horrible at remembering names, so if I ask for yours more than once, please don't be offended! I want to meet as many people as possible and I can't wait to spend a whole day Snape-ing with everyone!

How could I forget that? I tried to give her a little whip on the bottom with my flogger and wow...she really gets into character. There are so many good Snape fanon moments...

How you Snape (e.g. fic writing/reading, art, cosplay, etc.): listening to Snapecast, just getting into fan fic writing/reading

Conventions you have been to in the past: hp convention newbie

Why you like Snape: He's complex, intense, powerful, and underneath the humorously dry & snarky exterior, he's passionate.

Favorite Canon!Snape Moment: "DON'T -" screamed Snape, and his face was suddenly demented, inhuman, as though he was in as much pain as the yelping, howling dog stuck in the burning house behind them -"CALL ME COWARD!"

Favorite Fanon!Snape Moment: The beginning of each episode of Snapecast with the intro to Potions clip then Chris....

Favorite Snape Ship: Snape/Lily (I think Snape/Lupin is my favorite non-Canon ship)

How DH influenced your Snape-ing: My local friends had to admit that I was right about Snape, and they admire how I stuck to my guns about him in spite of their harassment before the last book came out.

Anything else:
1) So far, I'm the only one on the survey that loves Snape more after the final book. Given there aren't many responses yet, this will probably change. It's interesting to be unique.
2) I LOVE Snapecast, and I decided to come to Portus because of Snapefest
3) The Snapecast Lovepotion 9 and 3/4 about Snape/Lily helped me get over my writer's block. I started thinking Snape loved Lily at least 3 or 4 years ago, if not more, but I always thought of it as one-sided. On the program, however, the topic of Snape and Lily having sex came up and someone said they'd like to see the awkward teenage exploration side of the relationship and I couldn't resist the challenge. Writing my first fan fiction was such a cool experience, and because of writing it, I got turned on to reading fan fiction as well. Thanks Snapecast!

How you Snape (e.g. fic writing/reading, art, cosplay, etc.): listening to Snapecast

Conventions you have been to in the past: Lumos

Why you like Snape: His humor and his complicated layers of feelings/ motivations/ reasons

Favorite Canon!Snape Moment: The Snape-shaped hole

Favorite Fanon!Snape Moment: Rose's Announcements, Skits and Songs on Snapecast

Favorite Snape Ship: Undecided

How DH influenced your Snape-ing: DH made me understand how Snape can be both good and bad at the same time. To me, this makes him the most realistic character in canon.

Anything else:
I did not have a particular interest in Snape until I started listening to Snapecast and I still probably like Snapecast more than Snape. (I hope this won't make me ostracized.) Snapefest was the deciding factor for my going to Portus because I honestly don't know a soul in fandom and only listen to podcasts and read news sites. But I am hoping to branch out as the fandom evolves. Like Becca, I can tend to be shy so I'm going to bring candy to hand out at Snapefest to force myself to talk to people. Otherwise I will have to carry candy around all day and that would be lame.
